The City of Montpelier is seeking a personable, detail oriented and well-organized public service professional to fill the position of Deputy City Clerk. The position is a regular, full-time position with a suite of benefits to include but are not limited to paid time off, retirement, health, dental, and vision insurance benefits. The Deputy Clerk works as a full partner with the elected city clerk and performs a wide variety of duties, including maintaining land records, vital records and official municipal records and documents as well as administering elections and interfacing with the public. The Deputy Clerk also helps collect tax and utility payments, parking tickets, and miscellaneous other payments. Hourly rate is $25.38 to $26.67 depending upon qualifications and experience.
