Duties

Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, measuring, and assembling ingredients according to established recipes and safety standards
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, and dishwashers safely and efficiently
Support the culinary team in meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods
Follow food handling procedures to uphold food safety management standards and prevent contamination
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during meal service
Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and portion control to maintain consistency in food quality
Experience

Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
Background in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with food industry standards
Knowledge of culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing methods, and basic cooking practices
Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Understanding of safety standards in production environments and food handling regulations
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members
Prior catering or serving experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
