Host Full Time Part Time

Overview

Join our front-of-house team as a Host and be the first friendly face our guests see. You’ll set the tone for every visit by greeting guests warmly, managing the flow of the dining room, and making sure everyone feels welcome from the moment they walk in. We’re looking for someone upbeat, organized, and calm under pressure who enjoys working with people. No experience is required, and we’ll train you. This is a good way to start in the restaurant industry and learn how a busy dining room runs.

Duties

Greet guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave
Seat guests and balance tables across servers’ sections
Answer phones, take reservations, and manage the reservation and waitlist system
Give accurate wait times and keep waiting guests informed
Coordinate with servers, bussers, and managers to keep turning tables smoothly
Keep the host stand, entryway, and menus clean and organized
Handle takeout orders and pickups as needed
Help with light side work like rolling silverware or resetting tables during slower periods
Pass guest concerns or special requests on to a manager

What We’re Looking For

Previous host, customer service, or restaurant experience is a plus but not required
A friendly, professional attitude and clear communication skills
Able to stay organized and keep your cool during busy rushes
Reliable and on time
Able to stand for long periods
Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15–25 per week
