As part of a multi-agency collaborative, the Burlington Housing Authority (BHA) seeks a full time (40 hours per week) Offender Re-Entry Housing Specialist to provide housing placement and retention services to high-risk offenders returning to the community from long-term incarceration. This position will work as a part of a skilled Housing Retention Team and in close collaboration with Burlington Probation and Parole and Dept. of Corrections Central Offices.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field, and at least three years of experience working with home-based service provision to diverse populations is required. Valid driver’s license and private means of transportation for meetings within the Greater Burlington Area is strongly desired.
The ideal candidate should be highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to work in a respectful and supportive capacity with individuals with criminal history.
