The ACLU of Vermont is seeking a motivated, organized, and skilled Digital Communications Strategist to oversee and manage digital communications in support of our legal, advocacy, and development programs. The ideal candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, mission-focused, and results-driven, using digital platforms and innovative tactics to engage a broad range of stakeholders, including community partners, lawmakers, and a growing base of supporters.
Please note that due to COVID-19, our organization is currently operating 100% remotely. This will continue until at least July 1, 2021, and we are likely to extend our remote work policy and remote work flexibility well beyond that date. It is our expectation that the person hired to fill this position will eventually work from our Montpelier office with occasional travel throughout Vermont.

Reporting to the Communications Director, and working in close collaboration with our advocacy, legal, and development programs, the Digital Communications Strategist is responsible for driving audiences to action across all ACLU of Vermont digital channels and promoting the ACLU of Vermont’s mission to broaden audience awareness and engagement among key constituencies. They will help to set, coordinate, and implement digital strategy to further our mission of defending and advancing the civil liberties of all Vermonters.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
We are committed to creating and maintaining a diverse workforce through equity initiatives, which includes equitable pay practices. Competitive compensation is commensurate with experience. Starting salary range for this position is $40,000-$50,000 annually.

This position is full-time, salaried, and exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
