Dates: 2/1/2025 – 8/1/2025, $20/hour

Are you passionate about animal care and welfare? The University of Vermont’s research facility is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team on a part-time, temporary basis. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a professional and supportive environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform routine checkups, treatments, and medical procedures on research animals.
• Assist investigators with technical procedures, including administering medication, injections, and anesthesia, as well as blood collection and tissue harvesting.
• Ensure animal health and welfare, maintaining compliance with AAALAC International and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Manage detailed records, quarantine facilities, and the pharmacy area.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or related field with 2–3 years of experience, OR an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology with 5 years of experience.
• Commitment to upholding animal welfare legislation and best practices.
• Valid driver’s license (driver’s check required).
