The Intervale Conservation Nursery employs innovative ecological systems for growing bareroot tree stock of over 30 species of Vermont native trees for riparian restoration, agroforestry, and climate mitigation. The Production Technician works with the team to plan, implement, and maintain nursery production field operations. The Production Technician is the primary tractor operator and mechanic and oversees the operation and maintenance of all ICN equipment. An ideal candidate has 3-4 years of hands-on tree nursery or diverse farm operation experience including operating, maintaining, and repairing tractors and implements; knowledge of organic practices and systems for fertility, pest, disease, and weed management; the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work outside for extended periods in various weather conditions; flexibility and adaptability and the ability and desire to work with a team and provide leadership in the field.
