About Vermont Journalism Trust
The Vermont Journalism Trust, Ltd., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the fiscal sponsor for Vermont’s leading news organization, VTDigger. VTDigger.org is a statewide news website that publishes daily reports on state government, politics, consumer affairs, business and public policy. We also publish in-depth stories with occasional investigative pieces, video and audio, in addition to raw information in the form of press releases and government documents. Our daily beat reporters cover politics, education, health care, criminal justice, business and the environment. We publish eight news stories a day and three to four investigative pieces a month. VTDigger, with 14 reporters, six editors, and a growing business office, has the largest news operation in Vermont. We have 700,000 monthly readers and we reach another 200,000 readers a month through our AP-style distribution service, which is used by 13 local daily and weekly newspapers across the state. VTDigger.org publishes new content six days a week, Monday through Saturday.
