Human Resources Coordinator Part Time

As the Human Resources Coordinator at TruexCullins, you will play an essential role in cultivating a positive work environment and shaping our workplace culture.  You will be responsible for a range of HR activities, including benefits administration and general employee support. This is a salaried, part-time position starting at 24 hours per week with room to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Benefits and Payroll Administration:  Manage our benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, paid leaves, and other benefits. Work with our broker to review and assess annual plan options, in collaboration with firm leadership. Facilitate the annual open enrollment process to include disseminating benefits information and assisting employees making benefit selections. Assist with the migration to our recently adopted HR, payroll and benefits management system. Complete bi-weekly payroll process and implement payroll changes, including deductions related to benefits enrollment and new hires.
• Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees.  Coordinate new hire orientation process including completing required paperwork, conducting internal orientation meetings, and monitoring completion of orientation tasks.
• Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective employee relations strategies, including by participating in staff meetings, consultation and mentorship, office and community events, professional development opportunities, and other activities as possible. The Managing Principal is primarily responsible for personnel matters relating to career development, performance, and salary and benefit standards and fairness.  The HR Coordinator is primarily responsible for personnel matters relating to HR policies and procedures, and will work with the Managing Principal to address employee concerns, provide guidance and assist with conflict resolution.
• HR Strategy: Maintain and update Employee Handbook and related policies.  Collaborate with leadership to develop HR strategies that align with business objectives, including diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, career development and organizational culture changing initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Min 2 years HR experience including benefits, payroll, and employee relations.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and benefits administration.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus
