Seeking a professional with strong writing and editing skills to work in the Town Manager’s Office, with a primary focus on producing accurate and engaging public information. Communicates in-person, by phone and via email, follows multiple formal recurring processes and supports creation of formal graphics and narratives.
Duties include compiling packets for Selectboard meetings and publishing on the Town website; Summarizing and posting Selectboard meeting agenda in physical and digital locations; Develops and publishes a weekly newsletter; Prepares monthly public reports on town activities in graphic form; Prepares annual Town Report and multi-media materials for annual public meetings; Drafts administrative memos and responses to media requests; Maintains Town website and social media; Maintains high level of awareness of town services and activities; Supports the office of the Town Manager and the Selectboard, related to public meetings, events, appointments and administrative duties.

Excellent writing skills, bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in communications. Skilled at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with diverse groups and working collaboratively in a team environment. Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign Creative Suite and/or Canva, website and content mgt. platforms and social media.
