Organizational Impact
VTDigger has experienced steady growth in the 10 years since our founding. As a result of the Covid-19 crisis, we have seen unprecedented demand for our public service:

Monthly readership has doubled in the past six months. VTDigger now serves an average 600,000 unique readers each month.
Email subscriptions have increased by 50 percent. About 44,000 people receive VTDigger in their inbox every day.
Member support has doubled since March, including monthly support. Membership stands at over 10,000 people

About the Position
The Account Executive primarily identifies, prioritizes, pursues, and closes new and continuing underwriting deals with customers. The AE will work in close partnership with the CRO to ensure that opportunities are being maximized to reach current and long-term sales goals to maintain the financial health of VTDigger.org.

The AE is responsible for managing relationships with prospects and existing customers as well as researching and opening a continuous pipeline of new opportunities. The AE will regularly and consistently work outside the office in direct contact with customers and potential customers. The AE will have a keen understanding of the market, industry, and target audience for assigned accounts, growing and managing those accounts, and establishing strategic partnerships in an effort to develop unique and valuable advertising programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, digital media, or marketing
• Familiarity with digital advertising strategies and creative outreach skills
• Willingness to travel and attend social events and conferences
• Top-notch presentation skills and an ability to command an audience
• Understanding of digital media, online advertising technology, and VTDigger’s competitive landscape
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and pipeline management
• Exceptionally collaborative, both within your own team and cross-functionally
• Mission-driven, growth mindset with hunger to constantly learn and improve your craft
