The UVM Student Financial Services (SFS) office is seeking qualified candidates for our Business Manager position. This position will assist the Director and SFS leadership team in managing the fiscal operations of the department. Fiscal operations include both the operating budget of the department and the management and reconciliation of student tuition accounts receivable, student loans receivable, and multiple financial aid and scholarship funds. This individual will work collaboratively with the Controller’s Office to develop and implement sound business practices in the administration of Federal Campus-Based Aid funds and the administration of the Federal Direct Student Loan program.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on accounting or business administration and two to four years related accounting, Financial Aid, Financial Analysis, or Financial Management experience required. Attention to process and detail, the ability to analyze financial and operational data, and the ability to generate differential scenarios and make recommendations based on the results required. Expert level experience with Excel required. Previous employment in a higher education setting, familiarity with Statistical Analysis and Tools; experience with Peoplesoft financials and/or Banner student information system; and working knowledge of relational databases and query tools is desirable.
