Job Description
As an Investment Desk Associate, you will be responsible for helping the firm trade client accounts. You will rebalance client asset allocations and review unique investment situations. You will work closely with our Advisors and sometimes directly with clients. You will utilize proprietary software and construct spreadsheets to execute trades. You will report to the firm’s Founder/CEO, Dan Cunningham.

You do not need prior financial industry experience, though you should demonstrate why you are exceptional in your application. We will provide on-the-job training.

In this role, you will:

• Analyze client asset allocations.
• Look to reduce client taxes incurred.
• Carefully consider each client situation.
• Trade client accounts.
• Work with Advisors to coordinate trading and rebalancing.
• Sometimes work directly with clients.
• Construct spreadsheets for trading and sometimes for clients.
• Maintain careful records.
• Answer questions and help train new Advisors and staff members.

A strong candidate will:

• Have an interest in finance and economics.
• Demonstrate excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
• Maintain a high standard for attention to detail and documentation.
• Be eager to learn (hopefully a quick learner at that).
• Be proactive: identify opportunities and problems and take them to the next level without being asked.
• Be able to “wear multiple hats” and quickly adapt to changing priorities
• Focus on processes and controls with the ability to understand and assess risk.
• Possess a positive attitude, tremendous grit, and ability to prioritize.

Salary

• $25 to $30 / hour, commensurate with experience.

Hours / In-person & Remote

• We will consider applicants looking for 15 to 30 hours of work per week.
• 8:30 AM to 3 PM is a preferred window to be at work, although there is some flexibility.
• For the first six months you should be in the office 75% of the time or more. After that you should be in the office 33% of the time or more. The remaining time can be remote.
• You must have a Series 65 license to perform this job. You will have 4 months to obtain a license. Exam study hours are on your own time. We will pay for your exam fee.
