Accountant Full Time

We are seeking an Accountant to join our team at Alpine SnowGuards. In this role, you will support our financial operations by helping with various accounting tasks that ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly preparation of financial statements by GAAP standards to include reconciliation of general ledger accounts, bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Investigate & report discrepancies.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy, to reduce the length of the overall close process.
• Prepare bi-weekly check runs.
• Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist in developing and analyzing budgets and preparing periodic reports.
• Work with an outside accountant for quarterly tax planning and year-end adjustments.
• Work with various management personnel to develop informative periodic financial reports, including sales reporting, inventory reporting, and profit analysis.

Requirements

• Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
• Work experience in the private sector in a similar position, preferably 2+ years.
• Excellent computer and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset
• Motivated, self-starter, problem-solver, able to work independently
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and general accounting best practices.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel, as well as data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning.
